Business Objective
 
A large international property and casualty insurance firm requested help migrating its entire insurance application support suite to the XP, VB6 and Sybase 12.5 platforms from NT, VB5 and Sybase 11.  These applications, including local country variations, are resident in multiple countries across Asia Pacific and China.

Solution
 
We converted, upgraded and QA-certified all affected applications on an overlapping country-by-country schedule, and provided remote and on-site support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and/or Production Roll-out.  We also had an independent Quality Assurance Project Team in place to complement the development and configuration management structure, while project management and staffing was completely handled by Kforce Global Solutions.

Technical Environment
 
The environments are a mix of NT, Unix, Windows 2000, Sybase, and XP in a client server architecture.  Applications are written in Visual Basic or PowerBuilder.
