A major financial institution maintains a third-party package to support transfer agency business functions and needed an outsourced development team to augment their domestic team's capability.

Solution
 
We provide project management responsibility for the system and perform all maintenance and enhancement requests.  Requirements review, design, effort estimation, task scheduling, test planning and standards and procedures documentation are undertaken to ensure efficient mechanisms for phased review and approval by the client, as well as effective management to ensure timely and quality deliverables.

Technical Environment
 
More than 1,000 elements are maintained, which run on OS/390 IBM machine.  The elements are comprised of procs, jobs and different program types such as SAS, batch and online, and DB2.  The system processes mutual fund transactions and is written in COBOLII, CICS /COBOLII and extensively uses VSAM files.
