Major Securities Firm:  Mutual Funds Brokerage Application Systems

Business Objective 

A major securities company wanted to outsource the maintenance and enhancement necessary for six subsystems of the Mutual Fund Brokerage (MFB) Application Systems.  Moreover, production support was requested for the whole MFB system.  Of the six subsystems identified, two involved major redevelopment and file conversion from the VSAM platform to DB2.

Solution
 
We provided project management services for the aforementioned systems, including all maintenance, enhancement and development requirements.  In addition, production support was provided on a 24x7 basis.  Adequate documentation of the project effort estimation, design, development/enhancement, test plan, implementation plan and standards and procedures were developed and made available to guarantee quality deliverables.  Full system documentation was also provided for all six subsystems handled.
